Betsy Baytos has partnered with PETA to create an exclusive, heartwarming, must-have animal design tee featuring a mother and baby and the message “We’re Someone, Not Something!”
Betsy’s award-winning career features her unique combination of talent and expertise in the visual arts as a Disney feature animator, illustrator, and filmmaker. She puppeteered and performed as Betsy Bird—created for her by Jim Henson for The Muppet Show in London—followed by the Muppets’ debut at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. This led to Shelley Duvall’s Faerie Tale Theatre, The Steve Allen Show, and Mitchell Parish’s Stardust on Broadway. Betsy created campaigns such as the Coca-Cola Polar Bears, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Ready Kids, and “Margaritaville”—part of her Jimmy Buffett brand. Betsy has consulted for Walt Disney, Cirque du Soleil, the Fred Astaire conference at the University of Oxford, and Universal Studios Japan. In 2019, she presented a sold-out dance program for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. A feature documentary is now in production. She’s currently developing a children’s book series with a focus on climate change and African wildlife, and she recently completed a blue whale commission to benefit whale conservation.
